8th August 2023 / Prue Fletcher: Fletchers Awards Night 2023

Last month, our Fletchers Group gathered at the Forum Melbourne to honour and acknowledge the outstanding work of their colleagues throughout the year. It was a night to remember, filled with unforgettable performances from International act, The Three Waiters, and the talented DJ Kat & Max on Sax.

This year, the theme for the evening was to celebrate and acknowledge all of the incredible people that support our group from behind-the-scenes day in and day out.

Fletchers culture is founded on family values, where longstanding relationships matter and loyalty is both desired and rewarded. That sense of family, which not only extends to how we treat each other as colleagues, but the longevity of our relationships with clients, suppliers, and those nearest and dearest to us who provide an unlimited measure of support.

Of course, the culture of a company is not something that remains static, as businesses have to evolve and respond to external forces and invest in both understanding and managing their culture. Whilst the Fletchers Group has certainly grown from its humble beginnings in 1919, our foundation as a family business has been a key factor in our ability to persevere and thrive for over 100 years.

After stepping down from his Executive Chairman role at the end of last year, we were privileged to have Rob Fletcher take the stage and deliver a heartfelt speech. He praised the team for their resilience and success in navigating one of the most challenging markets he has witnessed in his 55+ year career. Joined by his eldest son, Mark, together they awarded Ben Williams as this year's recipient of the Rob Fletcher award. A deserving winner.

Kate Evans (nee Fletcher) and Anna Fletcher took to the stage to present the prestigious Tim Fletcher Award, named in honour of their father. The title of the No.1 Property Consultant (Director) 2023 was awarded to Spring Chen. An outstanding achievement.

And then there was the incredible Jack Summut, who claimed the title of No.1 Property Consultant (Non-Director) for the second consecutive year. His discipline and unwavering dedication are truly commendable.

Andrew Paterson was delighted to present the 2023 Hall of Fame inductees, this year awarded to dual recipients, Belinda Bisogno & Brooke Grealy. Both ladies commenced their tenure at Fletchers on the same day some 18 years ago, with the award paying tribute to their loyalty and leadership within both the Property Management department and the wider Fletchers Group.

Longtime colleague Tracy Fitzclarence was awarded the coveted Graeme Keogh Award for Best Team Player. Our congratulations to all of the nominees and award recipients for being recognised on the night.

At Fletchers, we firmly believe that a business is only as strong as its employees. And we couldn't be prouder of this extraordinary team for the hard work and joy they bring to our community every single day.

A special shoutout goes to the amazing awards night committee, led by the brilliant Sarah Lowry, and comprised of Caroline Dawborn, Merrilyn Bennett, Prue Fletcher, Mel Hovenden, and Bradley Brown. You all made this event a night to remember.
