30th September 2019 / Prue Fletcher: Kalon Hair & Wellness on Creating a More Sustainable Brand

Positive brand alliance is key to supporting each other and our local communities. When Fletchers was first introduced to Kalon Hair & Wellness, we were keen to get to know more about the positive work Owner, Carla, is doing to create a more sustainable brand.

On a journey to having zero waste, Carla has partnered with Sustainable Salons, who currently collect up to 95% of hairdressing waste while continuing to search for solutions for the final 5%. On top of that, 100% of proceeds from re-purposing salon materials are donated to OzHarvest and KiwiHarvest to provide meals for those in need.

For a business which has only been operating in the City of Whitehorse for 1 whole year, I was blown away but not surprised with the show of support she received at her recent birthday event. The room was full of praise and admiration for a woman who invests such a large amount of her energy into bridging the gap between holistic health and hair and wellness.

"I'm focused on partnering only with leading, professional brands who share Kalon's vision in striving to reduce toxic waste within our communities," cementing her message in how small acts of kindness when multiplied can really transform the world.
