What a celebration! Proud doesn't begin to describe the emotion felt in the room last Saturday evening. Marking the occasion of our 100-year anniversary, it was certainly a night to celebrate the past and truly be excited for the future.
I was honoured to be on the organising committee alongside my colleagues Sarah Lowry and Beth Oleyar over the past few months and it goes without saying that nights like this don't just happen; it really takes a village.
On behalf of the Fletcher family, I would sincerely like to thank all staff, sponsors and partners for embracing the celebrations and making this momentous occasion an evening to remember always.
As a new addition to the night, I was pleased to introduce our Centenary Awards, which now exists to recognise and thank fellow team members for their contribution and ongoing commitment to Fletchers across all areas of the business.
From 197 peer nominations submitted, we ended up with 23 finalists across 7 categories; an incredible testament to a fantastic team and I congratulate everyone all on their success.
We would also like to make special mention to our Centenary Partners; Domain, NAB, NEO, Newscorp Australia and Briner, as well as our Titanium, Platinum, Gold and Silver Sponsors, and Product Suppliers, for making this a night to remember.
A special thanks also goes out to Channel Nine; our film sponsor, for allowing us to produce our first ever Brand Film and Centenary Documentary, and to Melbourne home styling company, Dressed for Sale, who assisted us enormously with preparations for the evening.
Another mention goes to our friends at Helloworld Travel Surrey Hills, who have been a big support during our Centenary campaign for the $5,000 and $10,000 travel giveaways.
To those who generously donated door prizes and contributed to our Centenary gift bags, the positive feedback we have received has been overwhelming, so a huge thank you!
I encourage you to continue to join in the celebrations by viewing and sharing our new films at any of the digital platforms below. You might even be lucky enough to see photos of Australian television personality, Tim Campbell, who was our host and entertainer for the evening!
As our Director & CEO, Bradley Brown, mentioned on the night, if you look back to the 19th century and see what brands are still alive today, you will be in very few company. I am extremely proud to be included in such a wonderful family, but to also work alongside peers that share the same vision and values.
The future of real estate is in good hands.
Happy 100 years!
