3rd April 2020 / Beth Oleyar: What You Can Expect from a Virtual Appraisal

If you are considering selling and looking for an up-to-date assessment of your property, our team of professional agents are happy to conduct virtual appraisals during this time. With social distancing in mind, we are using the latest communications technology to view your property remotely in a way that is both effective and safe for everyone involved.

Once your appraisal is booked, one of our Fletchers agents will contact you over the phone via FaceTime, Skype, WhatsApp or whatever you're most comfortable with so we can see your property through your eyes.

  • I am interested in finding out the value of my property. How do I arrange a virtual appraisal?

You can book your virtual property appraisal by clicking here. Alternatively, if you'd like to contact an agent or office directly, you can do so by visiting our Agent or Office pages and selecting your preference. From here, you can get in touch via phone, email or by clicking the 'Request Property Appraisal' button.

  • What do I need to have to participate in a virtual appraisal?

To ensure a smooth and successful exchange, you will need to have a Wi-Fi or internet connection and a mobile phone with working camera. When booking your appraisal, you will need to inform the agent of your preferred application (FaceTime, Skype, WhatsApp), have the app downloaded onto your phone and ensure your account is set-up and ready to use.

These apps are all free to download and can be accessed through the App Store or Google Play Store.

  • How do I participate in a virtual appraisal?

The process is very simple and in many ways like a normal video call. To begin, your Fletchers agent will call you via your preferred app at your nominated time and date. During the appointment, you will provide details of your property as required and at their instruction, provide a walking tour of the property.

  • How will I receive my appraisal report?

Following your appointment, your agent will send across your appraisal report via email.

  • If I still want to meet in person, is that possible?

It is possible, however, we do need to ensure that we maintain social distancing parameters along with good health and hygiene. Our agents can meet with you on a one-on-one basis, keeping a 1.5 metre distance and taking appropriate precautions throughout the appointment. A virtual appraisal is certainly a safe and effective way to start the conversation, and we can email you reports and catch up with you again over the phone or video conferencing to discuss.

  • I would like to take the next step and engage you to sell my home. What's the process?

While we continue to maintain a safe distance and adhere to social distancing restrictions, we are fully equipped with digital authorities. Our team can send you a digital authority via email, along with a marketing schedule you have agreed upon, which you can sign in the comfort of your own home. Our team can then proceed to market your home and work to achieve an excellent result for you!
