What Does Your Home Say About Your Personality? Quite a bit, Evidently

There is an anthology of research emerging which suggests the way in which our homes are curated; the colour of the walls, the gallery of photographs and the level of OCD found in our kitchen cabinets, (or lack thereof), says a lot about the personalities of those who live there.

So, what does making our bed in the morning and our level of happiness have to do with each other? Quite a bit, evidently.

A survey conducted by Hunch.com found that, "bed makers are also more likely to like their jobs, own a home, exercise regularly, and feel well rested, whereas non-bed-makers hate their jobs, avoid the gym and wake up tired. All in all, bed makers are happier and more successful than their rumple-sheeted peers."

Don't be discouraged! If you're struggling invest the time each morning, there is still hope for all those crumply-bed-sheet connoisseurs yet.

Are Those Wardrobe Issues or Are You Hanging onto the Past?

If you're someone who struggles to say goodbye to old items of clothing that have been gathering dust for the past 10 years, you're not alone. Dr. Jennifer Baumgartner says, 'nostalgia can make clearing out a space nearly impossible, and your inability to tidy up could be an indication that you're not quite ready to let go of old memories'.

Fleur Wood, Personal Stylist and Wardrobe Overhaulist, from HOW TO WEAR IT, offers personalized wardrobe consults, where "the best place to start is with what you already have. Spending time in your wardrobe allows us to rediscover some of your best pieces and also find out what is missing. The wardrobe overhaul is as much about 'out with the old!' as it is about identifying what should be kept, what will come back into fashion, or what is sentimental and should go into storage."

Fleur is currently offering her services virtually for a fantastic price of $120! CLICK HERE to find out more.

Easy, Breezy Bedroom Airflow or Are You Emotionally Stuck?

Curating a bedroom with natural airflow and perfect light doesn't just mean that you enjoy fresh air and that morning glow—it can also be a marker for emotional stability. A study from the University of Texas at Austin found that there is a link between "bright, open spaces and emotional stability, as well as messy bedrooms and extroversion".

If you find yourself stuck on a particular space in your home, whether through furniture positioning or finding the right piece to create that optimal flow, Ali Waight (Property Stylist and Interiors Extraordinaire) offers a bespoke service enabling you to tackle any interiors issue you may have. Get in touch via her website or follow her Instagram Page for lots of design tips and to make sure you don't miss out on her next release date for her Hour of Power.

Introvert or Extrovert? The Answers Lies Inside the Fridge

If you often pick up dinner on the way home from work, order UberEats or prefer to dine out with friends, research suggests you get your energy from interacting with others and are quite the extrovert! According to Lifestyle Psychologist Martha Tsakalos, a bare fridge suggests that you're 'talkative, assertive and outgoing and are more likely to be found out-and-about than at home'.

If organising your fridge or pantry is something that you've been putting off in isolation, head to The Organising Platform for all the inspiration you need to help declutter both your pantry and, your life.
