As COVID-19 restrictions begin to ease across the country, we remain committed to proudly supporting people through their property journey.
Operating within the new guidelines provided by the Victorian Government on Monday 11th May, the Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) has outlined the following directions as the state-wide ban on on-site auctions and open for inspections were lifted from midnight on Wednesday 13th May.
- On-site auctions are currently limited to a maximum of 10 members of the public (excluding the owners or residents of the property and any person(s) reasonably required to facilitate the auction).
- Open for inspections at residential properties, for the purposes of a prospective sale or rental, are limited to a maximum number of 10 members of the public (excluding the owners or residents of the property and any person(s) reasonably required to facilitate the inspection) to enter the premises at any one time.
- All visitors and attendees for on-site auctions and open for inspections will be required to provide their full name and contact details to the estate agent to assist with contact tracing, if required. The estate agent will be required to keep a record of these details, along with the date and time at which each person entered the premises.
- As a condition of entry, all visitors must confirm that they are not ill and have not been in contact with someone who has contracted COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Please note that Fletchers agents have the right to refuse entry to a premises if any visitors are presenting with physical symptoms.
- All person(s) attending an on-site auction or open for inspection must adhere to strict social distancing requirements of 1 person per 4 square metres.
The REIV recommends that attendees download the COVIDSafe App as an additional precautionary measure. This is not a government requirement but is widely encouraged across the real estate industry.
Please contact your Fletchers agent if you are interested in attending an on-site auction or open for inspection. If you would prefer to book a private inspection, this can also be arranged with your agent.
These guidelines will be reviewed and updated accordingly in conjunction with regulatory changes from the State Government. We ask all patrons to adhere to these directions to ensure we continue to provide a safe environment for everyone involved.
Fletchers have taken the appropriate measures to minimise these risks as we remain committed to securing the best results for our clients while providing quality service to those within the community.
If you are considering selling, we have a wide range of highly effective campaign strategies available to those wanting to test the market and encourage interested parties to get in touch.
