A resident of the Eastern suburbs all his life, Stefan lives and breathes the Fletchers brand ethos ; family, community, commitment and results!

2024 has been a hugely rewarding & fulfilling year for Stefan, welcoming his 5th child with partner Ash all the while excelling in his career goals. With numerous accolades to his name, including being awarded the No.1 Agent for Box Hill South five times (Rate My Agent) & being named Partner in 2019, he was recently awarded the highest honor within the Fletchers Group taking home the Harold Fletcher award for the no.1 property consultant (non-director).

Here, Stefan gives us an honest account of what drives him daily, highlighting how his holistic approach allows him to deliver a stress-free and positive result for his clients .. every time.

Why Real Estate

I always had an interest in the real estate market and I really enjoy working directly with people. I sold my first home with Fletchers many years ago with Rob Sheahan, Director of our Whitehorse office. A few years later I was still in a sales job that I was no longer enjoying and I thought real estate might be a good fit. I caught up with Rob who had inspired me during my own personal sales experience and a week later I resigned from my job and started at Fletchers. That was 10 years ago and I haven't regretted a thing.

What was the most important piece of advice you were given when you were young?

"Don't try to be someone that you're not, be true to yourself and people will either like you or they won't."

Fletchers are now in their 105th year serving families within the local community. Tell us, what does 'family' mean to you?

Family is the 'why' that drives me to succeed. I didn't come from a large family and I never thought I would have 5 kids! Most people think we're crazy but I love it and wouldn't have it any other way.

As a Partner within our Whitehorse group, what can clients expect from Stefan Cook?

I find it difficult talking about myself so I checked my latest client reviews. I find this keeps me grounded and always hungry to improve on my past results – 'very honest and professional, a warm people-focused personality, strong communication, very organised, expert knowledge and works hard to achieve great results.'

What's your take on the property market for the remainder of 2024?

My expectation is that the market will remain pretty steady for the remainder of the year. It's important to pay attention to global matters, however also important to understand the micro markets in which we operate in, for which now remain quite steady in Whitehorse.

Where do you think demand will come from? Are Eastern suburbs buyers typically looking to invest or secure more permanent addresses?

The vast majority of buyers that I help are families or couples at each stage of their lives looking for their next place to call home.

What excites you about working for the Fletchers Group?

There is a lot of cohesion and sharing across our offices which I value, and we continue to evolve the brand every year.

What keeps you busy outside of real estate?

When I'm not working I'm spending quality time with my family and also enjoy keeping fit at BFT

And lastly, as a father of 5, what would you like your legacy to be?

I hope I can instill good values in my kids and inspire them to be their best and live happy, successful and fulfilling lives.
