R U OKAY DAY (September 9, 2021)
As a family owned business who values the health & wellbeing of our staff, their families, friends & wider community, today we believe it's important to play our part in helping bring awareness to and more importantly build confidence around asking the question 'R U OKAY'.
More importantly, how to become comfortable in holding space for another when the response is 'NO I AM NOT'.
Would you know what to say when a family member, friend or colleague answered they weren't okay? Do you know the signs to look for if they say they are but really, they aren't?
@RUOKAYDAY is an incredible Australian suicide prevention charity inspiring people to meaningfully connect and support those who are currently struggling. They're messaging for this year #aretheyreallyOKAY is powerful and calls on all of us to better educate ourselves not just today, but all year through. Because when we genuinely ask, "R U OKAY?" and are prepared to sit and listen, we can help connect and support another, long before a crisis begins.
