The weekend's weather was an improvement compared to the last, with sunny skies and a warmer temperature than predicted.

Despite the sudden surge in auction listings, Victoria achieved an impressive clearance rate of 82% on the first Super Saturday of 2017, after 983 of the 1,198 auctions reported to the REIV resulted in a sale. 85 of the 215 passed in properties were due to vendor bids. The clearance rate was 6% higher than the same weekend last year, and the Domain Group reported that this is the highest auction result since October.

The near-new luxurious home at 21 Boisdale Street, Surrey Hills has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, boasting views across parkland. Features of this home include a premium kitchen, an alfresco area with an outdoor kitchen, water features, solar heated pool/spa, a theatre room and an upstairs retreat. Close by are private schools, shops, transport and Wattle Park. Attracting 250 people, seven bidders and a strong vibe on auction day, the sensational home sold for $3.41 million.

Close by are train stations, shopping centres, bus stops and Eastlink, and only moments away are schools and Jubilee Park/Aquanation. Zoned for Ringwood Secondary College and appealing to first homebuyers, young families and downsizers, the residence sold for $795,000 at auction.

On a block of almost three quarters of an acre is 2-4 Roslyn Street, Rye; a Scandinavian, double storey beach home with a tree top outlook. The new home owners can enjoy a short stroll to the beach and local village. Other notable features of the residence include a pool, spa, tennis court, a private balcony off the master bedroom, exposed beams and an alfresco area with a fire pit. Appealing to those wanting a sea change or a seaside retreat, the remarkable renovated home sold for an undisclosed price at auction.
