What a day in real estate on the weekend! It was a 'Super Saturday', as over 1,400 auctions were called across Victoria.

Fletchers network of offices had over 40 auctions scheduled for this busy weekend. We achieved a success rate of 80%, a total of 33 properties sold, well above the industry average for the weekend.

The exceptional residence at 19 Fuchsia Street in Blackburn went under the hammer on Saturday. The charismatic weatherboard is surrounded by provincial inspired gardens and boasts expansive windows in every room, high ceilings, ornate cornices and Brushbox timber flooring. Located in one of Blackburn's most coveted street, this four bedroom home attracted four keen bidders on auction day. The home achieved a fantastic final sale price, well above reserve.

There were five bidders on auction day who were eager to secure a new home. It was sold for $1.005 million.

The weatherboard Edwardian feature five bedooms, formal and informal living zones, soaring ceilings and Baltic pine floorboards that complement the substantial living room with open fire place. A glistening white kitchen streams outside to a verandah and tranquil backyard. The stylishly modernised home attracted a range of families looking to move to an ideal neighbourhood, close to a range of schools, shops and transport. Six bidders fought competitively to secure this home, helping it reach a final sale price of $2.266 million.
