10th August 2020: Changes to Real Estate Operations During Stage 4 Restrictions

With stage 4 restrictions firmly in place across metropolitan Melbourne, Fletchers remains committed to conducting our services in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to state guidelines.

Due to stage 4 restrictions, physical inspections are not currently permitted. During this time, we encourage you to contact your Fletchers agent and register your interest to book a private appointment as soon as restrictions ease.

Please be aware that regional Victoria is currently under stage 3 restrictions and as such, our Fletchers Bellarine offices can continue to conduct private inspections.

Under the latest restrictions, the REIV has stated that permitted work at this time will include 'services related to property settlement or end-of-lease, including removalists' and 'building and grounds maintenance, cleaning, pest control and packaging where providing support to an essential industry or where required to maintain the health and safety of Victorians at home or work'.

This means that any work related to contract settlements or end-of-lease scheduled to occur during this period, may be undertaken. This includes final inspections, key collections, final cleaning and any other services directly related to settlement or finalising existing leases.

If you are attending a final inspection, you must wear a face mask and adhere to strict social distancing measures of 1 person per 4 square metres. All visitors must confirm that they are not ill and have not been in contact with someone who has contracted COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

Please note that Fletchers agents have the right to refuse entry to any premises during a final inspection if any visitors are presenting with physical symptoms or are not wearing a face mask.
