What's happening in the market…

Melbourne achieved a median price of $850,000 at auctions on Saturday, which resulted in $396.8 million of property being sold under the hammer, reported The Domain Group.

Domain also reported that 900 homes are expected to go to auction next weekend, which is expected to rise to 1,100 by mid-September.
