When setting up a study space, it's the one area in the house where I tend to shy away from 'less is more'.
A study should be used as a creative space, an area which screams a sense of individuality. For someone to be creative, it's very hard to tap into this by staring at a crisp, white wall. So, here are my tips on how to get the best of your study space!
Personalise
Inject some of YOU. Think of what inspires you, create a vision board with lots of colour and imagery. Always keeping your goals and what drives you top of mind.
Plant life
Areca Palms are proven to take in carbon dioxide and increase oxygen levels, a great recipe when getting those creative juices flowing!
Lighting
When lighting thought-provoking rooms, always ensure the lighting is warm rather than cool. Filament bulbs or a subtle desk lamp make for a much more intimate space, helping you to relax into your work.
Clean living
I keep a piece of Black Tourmaline on our study desk. Crystals, when used correctly, are said to have incredible healing properties with this particular one reducing the EMF radiation in your home. Yes, please!
