Looking to buy a holiday property and wondering whether to buy a house or apartment?

While personal preference and price dictate the decision to some degree, a range of other factors is worth considering.

The question was discussed in The Age on the weekend, with Fletchers Sorrento holiday rentals manager, Megan Sheedy noting that a bigger home is usally better in the Portsea-Sorrento area.

Ms Sheedy notes that whilst apartments can attract holiday-makers at the more affordable end of the market, many people prefer a house, seeking the exclusivity and privacy of high-end properties.
