We enjoyed a sun-filled weekend, warming us up for what has been forecast as a cold and rainy week ahead.

The REIV reported an auction clearance rate of 75 per cent over the weekend, above the 72 per cent reported for the same time last year. There were 649 auctions scheduled and 487 of those sold. Melbourne's Eastern and South Eastern suburbs are performing well at auction this year, with Glen Eira and Boroondara council areas recording more than 500 auction sales.

Fletchers Eastern suburbs network of offices also achieved an auction success rate of 75 per cent, in line with the industry average.
