28th November 2017: Auction Snapshot: Saturday 25 November

What's happening in the market…

The Domain Group highlighted how first home buyers are choosing their homes based on the proximity to the city, with old apartments becoming increasingly popular. "Noticeably roomier than their shoebox-sized contemporary cousins, these older apartments are often nestled on quiet, residential streets, in walking distance to shopping and easy access to a train line."

Domain also highlighted that the lower than usual clearance rate that occurred on the weekend may have been influenced by the oversupply of real estate within the $1.5-$3 million price bracket.
