Famous for being home to the picturesque Silvan Reservoir Park, Silvan is a growing tourist town 40 kilometres east of Melbourne’s CBD.
Around 2,000 residents and tens of thousands of tourists each year have the opportunity of visiting the well known Tesselaar Tulip Farm and Chappies U-pick berry farm. Residents who work in the area are generally farmers and the small town produces some of the best quality fruits in Australia.
Silvan is located halfway between Belgrave and Lilydale and is well serviced by the many schools, services and buses in the area. Homes in the area have been built to take advantage of the impressive forest and mountain views.
