20 km east of Geelong and 3 km from Clifton Springs lies Drysdale, the main retail and service hub for local residents and the surrounding rural area. The Drysdale Markets held on the third Sunday of the month between September and April, have more stalls than rival markets on the Peninsula. Other tourism magnets are steam train rides from Drysdale to Queenscliff on restored tracks, plus the award-winning Scotchmans Hill wineries.
