Doncaster East Suburb and Real Estate Information

Situated 19 km from Melbourne CBD and characterised by its rolling hills and creek valleys, Doncaster East, a formerly orchard area, is now an established residential suburb. Early real estate developments were concentrated south of Doncaster Road which provides a vital east/west connection. Today, this area has become a prime area for unit developments due to its excellent access via the Eastern Freeway to the city and EastLink to eastern and southern suburbs.

Adjacent suburbs include Doncaster, Templestowe, Warrandyte and Donvale. Real estate agents extol the appeal of the northern quadrant of Doncaster east where larger allotments and houses for sale can be found.

Doncaster South does not have trains or trams - just bus routes. Numerous bus services criss-cross the suburb linking with major regional shopping centres and the city.
