Period character meets contemporary splendour

Floorplan

Behind a picket fence and lovely landscaped yard, an iron-laced verandah shelters entry into a truly unique residence at this impressive address. Uniting period architecture with contemporary opulence, it has been successfully redesigned to surpass modern standards.

Separated by a striking light-well that acts as a breeze-way in the centre of the home, living zones are positioned at opposite ends of the interior. At the front, within the quiet oasis of solid brick walls and plantation shutters, a peaceful place for repose exists beside the convenient ambience of a gas log fire. A sense of drama is inspired by a passageway with definite 'wow' factor that introduces the immense open family room. This amazing expanse is appointed with reverse cycle air conditioning and a huge open fire place, wired for sound and lit by an atrium with clerestory windows. Adding to this superb sense of place are the massive, aged and recycled floor boards of extra breadth and dimension that add gravitas and drama to the room.

In the kitchen, stainless steel appliances and an integrated Miele dishwasher are concealed from the dining zone behind a raised bench. A stunning sand and glass splashback, plenty of pot drawers plus wine racks make this area even more special. Serviced by two ultra-modern bathrooms and two powder rooms, three bedrooms include main with twin built-in robes. Timber floors and high ceilings are found throughout.

Off street parking is secured behind double gates, where several fruit trees display a prolific harvest. A side gate admits sandy feet to the rear yard where an outdoor shower has been installed alongside an outdoor spa/plunge pool. Secluded within tall walls draped with leafy vines, this outdoor living zone is so inviting. Corrugated iron tanks complemented by a matching quaint garden shed have been used in clever designer style to imbue distinctive Australian character. Timber framed glass doors along the decking lead back indoors.

Equipped with an alarm system, this property is ideal for use as an upmarket holiday let or long term living arrangement. Situated in the midst of the main shopping zone, it is just a few doors from cafes, boutiques and galleries, a short walk from beaches, sporting clubs and more. Fully refurbished and positioned for constant entertainment, this unparalleled property awaits your inspection.

Important Information

Fletchers Area Guide Queenscliff, VIC 3225

Situated on Bellarine Peninsula and the entrance to Port Phillip Bay, Queenscliff's first residents came in the 1850s. The settlement received a fillip 20 years later when a rail service connected the town to Geelong. Today, that rail service only runs 16 km from Drysdale - now as a tourist attraction. The Bellarine Rail Trail is a walking and cycling track that largely follows the railway line. Historical buildings abound in and around Queenscliff's commercial centre.
